Setup Guides

How to Install IPTV on Any Device

Pick your device below for a clear, step-by-step guide. Every guide is written for beginners — no technical background needed.

Before You Start

We sell the subscription only. Your subscription works like a SIM card: it holds your access, and the player app is simply the device you put it into. You can use any of the player apps we support — pick whichever one matches your device below.

Setup usually takes 5–10 minutes the first time. Once it's done, you won't need to repeat it unless you switch devices.

Fire TV Stick Setup

How to Install IPTV on a Fire TV Stick

5–10 minutes Beginner friendly Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Cube

Fire TV Stick doesn't come with an IPTV app built in, so the first step is enabling sideloading and installing a small helper app called Downloader — a free, well-known tool made by AFTVnews that lets your Fire TV install apps from outside the Amazon Appstore. Once that's done, installing an IPTV player takes a couple of minutes. If you don't have a subscription yet, you can see our plans here first.

Before you install a new player: if you already have a different IPTV app installed (like TiviMate), uninstall it first from Fire TV Settings → Applications → Manage Installed Applications. Having two players installed at once can occasionally cause one to fail to open.

1

Turn on app installs from unknown sources

On your Fire TV home screen, go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Turn on Apps from Unknown Sources. This lets your Fire TV install apps that aren't in the Amazon Appstore, which is required for most IPTV players.

2

Install the Downloader app

From your Fire TV home screen, open the Amazon Appstore, search for Downloader, and install it. It's free and made by AFTVnews, a trusted, widely-used name in the Fire TV community.

3

Choose and install your IPTV player

Open Downloader and use its built-in search to find and install whichever IPTV player app you prefer. We support all of the following:

XP IPTV / OTT IPTV Smarters Pro IBO Player Pro IBO Player Hot Player
4

Enter your subscription details

Open the app you installed and sign in with the login details or M3U/Xtream link you received after subscribing. This is the same information for every app you choose — it's your subscription, not the app, that carries your access.

5

Start watching

Once you're signed in, your channels and content will load automatically. If anything doesn't look right, message us on WhatsApp and we'll walk you through it.

Android TV / Box Setup

How to Install IPTV on Android TV or an Android Box

3–5 minutes Easy setup Chromecast, TCL, Sony, Nvidia Shield & more

Android TV runs Google's own operating system, so it behaves a bit differently from Fire TV — most of our supported apps are available straight from the Google Play Store, which makes setup even quicker. If you haven't picked a plan yet, you can view pricing here before you start.

Compatible devices: Sony, TCL, Hisense, Philips, Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV, Mi Box, and most Android TV boxes running the official Android TV or Google TV interface.

1

Check the Google Play Store first

On your Android TV device, open the Google Play Store and search for your preferred IPTV player. Several of our supported apps are listed there directly, which skips the sideloading step entirely.

2

If it's not on the Play Store, sideload it

Not every player is listed on every device. If yours isn't there, install the Downloader app from the Play Store — it works on Android TV the same way it does on Fire TV — then use it to search for and install your chosen app.

3

Pick your app

Any of our supported player apps will work on Android TV:

XP IPTV / OTT IPTV Smarters Pro IBO Player Pro IBO Player Hot Player
4

Sign in with your subscription details

Open the app and enter the login details or M3U/Xtream link from your subscription. The same details work in any of the supported apps.

5

Start watching

Your channels and content will load right away. Stuck on anything? Message us on WhatsApp and we'll help you sort it out.

Not seeing your box listed? Most generic Android TV boxes running Android 9 or newer work the same way — if in doubt, message us with your device model and we'll confirm before you buy.
Samsung / LG Smart TV Setup

How to Install IPTV on a Samsung or LG Smart TV

10–15 minutes Moderate — one-time setup Samsung Tizen & LG webOS

Samsung and LG Smart TVs run their own closed operating systems (Tizen and webOS), so you can't sideload apps the way you can on Fire TV or Android TV. Instead, setup goes through Smart IPTV, an app built specifically for this kind of TV that links to your subscription through your TV's MAC address rather than a username and password. If you don't have a subscription yet, view our plans here first.

Good to know: Smart IPTV is a separate app made by a third-party developer, not by us. It's free to try, but after the trial period the app itself asks for a small one-time activation fee — paid directly to the app's developer, separate from your IPTV subscription with us. This is normal and only needs to be done once per TV.

1

Install Smart IPTV on your TV

Open your Smart TV's app store — Samsung Smart Hub on Samsung TVs, or the LG Content Store on LG TVs — search for Smart IPTV, and install it.

2

Find your TV's MAC address

Open the Smart IPTV app — it will display a MAC address on screen. Write this down, or take a photo of it with your phone. This number is how your subscription gets linked to this specific TV.

3

Add your playlist online

On a phone or computer, go to the Smart IPTV website and create a free account using the MAC address from step 2. Once logged in, add the M3U playlist link that came with your subscription. It can take a few minutes to sync to your TV.

4

Reopen the app on your TV

Go back to the Smart IPTV app on your TV and reopen it. Your channels should now appear automatically — no extra login screen needed on the TV itself.

5

Start watching

If channels don't show up after a few minutes, double check the MAC address matches exactly, then message us on WhatsApp and we'll help sort it out.

Older TV with no app store? Some older Samsung and LG models can't install Smart IPTV directly. In that case, a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box plugged into the TV's HDMI port is the simplest workaround.
Apple / iOS Setup

How to Install IPTV on iPhone or iPad

3–5 minutes Beginner friendly iPhone, iPad

iOS is the simplest platform to set up on, since there's no sideloading or file downloading involved — everything comes straight from the App Store. Apple doesn't allow installing apps from outside the App Store on a normal (non-jailbroken) device, so setup is really just install, sign in, watch. If you haven't picked a plan yet, see our pricing here.

Which app to pick: IPTV Smarters Pro is reliably available on the App Store and is the easiest starting point on iOS. Other supported apps may or may not have an iOS version depending on Apple's current listings — if your preferred one isn't there, Smarters Pro works just as well with the same login details.

1

Open the App Store

On your iPhone or iPad, open the App Store and search for IPTV Smarters Pro (or another supported app if you know it has an iOS version).

2

Install and open the app

Tap Get to install, then open it once it's finished downloading.

3

Sign in with your subscription details

Choose Login with Xtream Codes API (or the equivalent option in whichever app you installed) and enter the details or M3U/Xtream link provided with your subscription.

4

Start watching

Your channels and content will load automatically. Need a hand? Message us on WhatsApp.

Watching on Apple TV? Many of our supported apps also have a tvOS version listed under the same name in the App Store on Apple TV — the sign-in steps are identical to iPhone and iPad.
Windows / Mac Setup

How to Watch IPTV on Windows or Mac

3–8 minutes Beginner friendly Windows PC & Mac

There are two easy ways to watch on a computer: a quick method using VLC, a media player almost everyone already has, or installing a dedicated desktop IPTV app for a fuller interface with channel categories and a program guide. Pick whichever fits you — both work with the same subscription. Don't have a plan yet? See pricing here.

Method 1 — VLC (Quickest) Method 2 — Desktop App

Method 1: Using VLC Media Player

Best if you just want to start watching fast, without installing anything extra.

1

Install VLC if you don't already have it

VLC is a free, well-known media player. Download it from the official VLC website if it isn't already on your computer.

2

Open a network stream

In VLC, go to Media → Open Network Stream (on Mac: File → Open Network).

3

Paste your playlist link

Paste the M3U playlist URL provided with your subscription into the network URL field, then click Play.

Method 2: Using a Desktop IPTV App

Best if you want channel categories, search, and a program guide instead of a plain stream.

1

Download IPTV Smarters Pro for desktop

IPTV Smarters Pro has an official Windows and Mac app. Search "IPTV Smarters Pro" plus "Windows" or "Mac" to find the current official download for your system.

2

Install and open the app

Run the installer, then open the app once it's finished.

3

Sign in with your subscription details

Choose Login with Xtream Codes API and enter the details provided with your subscription.

4

Start watching

Your channels will load in the app's full interface. Need help with either method? Message us on WhatsApp.

Tip: the VLC method works with any subscription instantly and needs no account setup — it's the fastest way to confirm your subscription is working before deciding whether to install a full app.
Android Phone & Tablet Setup

How to Install IPTV on an Android Phone or Tablet

2–4 minutes Easiest setup Samsung, Pixel, Xiaomi & more

This is the quickest setup of any device — most of our supported apps are listed directly on the Google Play Store for phones and tablets, so there's usually no sideloading involved at all. Don't have a subscription yet? View pricing here first.

1

Search the Play Store

Open the Google Play Store on your phone or tablet and search for whichever supported app you prefer:

XP IPTV / OTT IPTV Smarters Pro IBO Player Pro IBO Player Hot Player
2

If it's not on the Play Store, install the APK directly

A small number of apps aren't listed in every region's Play Store. If that happens, you can download the app's installer file directly from the developer's website using your phone's browser. Android will ask permission before installing — tap Allow for that one download, then continue.

3

Sign in with your subscription details

Open the app and enter the login details or M3U/Xtream link that came with your subscription.

4

Start watching

Your channels load right away — rotate your phone sideways for a full-screen view. Need help? Message us on WhatsApp.

Using mobile data instead of Wi-Fi? Streaming can use a lot of data over time. If you're not on Wi-Fi, lowering the stream quality in the app's settings helps avoid burning through your data plan quickly.
Android & MAG Box Setup

How to Install IPTV on an Android Box or MAG Device

5–15 minutes Two different device types

"Streaming box" can mean two very different things: a generic Android box that runs apps like a phone, or a true MAG device, which works completely differently and doesn't use apps at all. Pick the section that matches what you have. Don't have a subscription yet? View pricing here.

If you have a generic Android streaming box

Boxes like a no-name "Android TV box," an X96, H96, or similar — these run full Android and work exactly like an Android TV.

Follow our Android TV / Box setup guide above — the steps are identical: check the Google Play Store first, and use the Downloader app to sideload if your preferred player isn't listed there.

If you have a true MAG box (MAG 250, 254, 322, etc.)

MAG devices don't install apps — channels load through a portal system built into the device, linked to its MAC address.

Important: MAG boxes are locked to their MAC address. You'll need to send us your device's MAC address before it will work, so we can link it to your subscription on our end.

1

Find your MAG box's MAC address

On your MAG device, go to Settings → System info (menu names vary slightly by model). The MAC address is also usually printed on a sticker on the underside of the device.

2

Send us the MAC address

Message the MAC address to us on WhatsApp along with your order details. We'll link it to your subscription and send you the portal URL to use.

3

Enter the portal URL on your device

Go to Settings → System settings → Servers on your MAG box, and enter the portal URL we send you in the "Portal 1" field.

4

Save and restart

Save the settings and restart the device. It will connect to the portal automatically — no login screen or app needed.

Troubleshooting

Something Not Working? Try These First

Most playback issues come down to one of a handful of common causes — work through these before reaching out and you'll likely fix it in a couple of minutes.

Check your internet speed

Around 15–20 Mbps is generally enough for smooth HD streaming. Run a quick speed test if channels are buffering or freezing.

Re-check your login details

Your username, password, and server link are case-sensitive. A single wrong character is one of the most common reasons channels won't load.

Update your player app

An outdated app is a common cause of loading errors and crashes. Check the app store for updates before troubleshooting further.

Restart everything

Turn off your device and your router or modem, wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on. This clears up a surprising number of connection issues.

Clear the app's cache

In your device settings, find the app and clear its cache (not its data, which would remove your login). Reopen it and test again.

Using a VPN?

Try a different server, or turn it off briefly to see if that's the cause. Some VPN servers handle streaming better than others.

Prefer Wi-Fi over Ethernet if possible

If buffering continues on Wi-Fi, moving closer to your router or switching to a wired connection often gives a more stable stream.

Still stuck after all of this?

Message us on WhatsApp with what you've already tried, and we'll take it from there.

Quick Answers

IPTV Setup: Quick Answers

Fast answers to the questions people ask most before and during setup.

How long does IPTV setup take?
Most devices take 3–10 minutes the first time. Smart TVs using Smart IPTV and true MAG boxes take a bit longer since they involve MAC address activation, but it's still a one-time setup.
What app do I need to watch IPTV?
Any of our supported player apps — XP IPTV/OTT, Smart IPTV, IPTV Smarters Pro, IBO Player Pro, IBO Player, or Hot Player. Which one to use depends on your device; check the guide above for your specific device.
What internet speed do I need for IPTV?
Around 15–20 Mbps is generally enough for smooth HD streaming. A faster connection helps if you're watching in 4K or across multiple screens at once.
Which IPTV app is best for my device?
There's no single "best" app — they all work with the same subscription. Fire TV and Android TV users usually pick whichever installs easiest; Samsung/LG users use Smart IPTV since it's built for that; iOS users typically use IPTV Smarters Pro.
Do I need to buy a box or extra hardware?
No — if you already have a Smart TV, phone, tablet, computer, or a Fire TV Stick, that's enough. A streaming box is only needed if your TV doesn't run any apps at all.
Can I switch devices after I've set it up?
Yes. Your subscription isn't tied to one device — you can install a player app on a new phone, TV, or box at any point and sign in with the same details (MAG boxes are the one exception, since those are MAC-locked to the specific device).
Why won't my channels load after setup?
This is almost always a typo in your login details, an outdated app, or a connection issue. See our troubleshooting tips above before reaching out.
What if my device isn't listed above?
Message us with your device model on WhatsApp and we'll tell you exactly how to get set up, even if it's not one of the common ones covered here.

Still Need a Hand?

If setup isn't going smoothly, message us directly and we'll walk you through it device by device.
